17 Reasons: Why use Whatsapp Instead of Text
I would use WhatsApp instead text because all my friends and close one's check WhatsApp more frequently than texting.
Nowadays, texting is a conventional or outdated method. Everyone uses Whatsapp because of the features it gives which are not available in texting.
I think I can express my feelings myself better on WhatsApp than texting due to stickers, gifs, photos, etc.
Now, I will list 17 reasons or features which makes WhatsApp more preferable than texting.

1. People can express their emotions or feel better on Whatsapp than by texting with the use of stickers, images and gifs.
2. People can also send money to someone through WhatsApp by only knowing their phone number.
3. Whatsapp also shows when someone is online, typing and last seen but in traditional texting, you can't find out if someone is typing you a text or not.
4. You can add a variety of emojis in a message in WhatsApp which makes your messaging more fun.
In texting, you can't add emojis which makes the messaging taste bland.
5. I myself don't check texts in texting because I get so many spam messages from different companies. On WhatsApp, I don't get spam messages from unknown numbers. That's the main reason why I use WhatsApp instead of texting.
6. If I want to send a document or pdf asap then first I have to ask the email of the person then I will send it. This is a lot of hassle but WhatsApp made this simple. In WhatsApp, you just have to select the pdf and directly send it.
7. If I want to share some personal photos or videos with someone then it is not convenient on texting but it is possible. To send the image or video. First I have to upload the image or video to an image hosting site then I will get a link. Finally, I will send the link.
In WhatsApp, it is a piece of cake to send someone photos or videos.
8. Whatsapp is more affordable than texting because nowadays most people can afford the internet.
9. You can send WhatsApp messages internationally to other people without any extra charge but in texting it costs a lot to send a text outside of your country.
10. If someone wants to chat with each other in the same house because they want to share a secret or something and their house is crowded with relatives.
Then they can simply download Whatsapp and message each other by connecting to wifi but in texting both the phones should have recharge to send texts.
11. On Whatsapp you can send messages to many people at a time just by simply creating a WhatsApp group. But in texting, you have to text each person individually which will cost a lot and will be very inconvenient.
12. On WhatsApp you can easily share screenshots or forward messages with images but in texting, it is a lot of hassle to do a simple thing.
13. Sometimes a person's phone network is not available. This creates a problem if you want to contact somebody or want to share important info with them.
If you have Whatsapp then you can simply connect to some public wifi and share the information with the concerned person.
14. To know the location of a person then it is very inconvenient to share the location on texting if you are new to the place. Whatsapp made it simple!
You just have to click the contact that you want to send the live location to.
15. You can also video call someone just using WhatsApp but in texting, you cannot do it. This gives a major advantage to WhatsApp over regular texting.
16. Whatsapp is more secure than traditional texting because Whatsapp is end to end secured and regular texting is less secured in comparison to WhatsApp.
17. If some hacker wants to hack your phone then it is easy for the hacker to hack your regular texting but the hacker cannot hack your WhatsApp messages at all.
Does Whatsapp use SMS or data?
Whatsapp uses the internet not your texting or calling charges. This thing makes WhatsApp so helpful and preferable to texting in daily life.
Is WhatsApp safer than texting?
I think Whatsapp is safer than texting because anyone can see your texts by using your phone but in Whatsapp, you can hide your contact which will also hide your messages.
Whatsapp also has end to end security which makes it kind of impossible to hack but still they can read your WhatsApp messages if they had installed spying apps on your phone.
Is it better to text or use WhatsApp?
I think WhatsApp is better than texting but this is just my opinion. If you like texting then you can go with it.
For me, WhatsApp makes it fun to chat with family and friends by using a variety of features to express yourself in different ways through gifs and stickers.
Why would someone want to download Whatsapp?
Someone would download WhatsApp because they want to enjoy all the amazing features that it offers. They also want to connect to their close one's virtually through WhatsApp.
Whatsapp has a simple interface that makes it easy to use for aged people. So in this case you can also connect to your grandpa or grandma by downloading Whatsapp on their phone.
What is the difference between WhatsApp and regular texting?
The main difference is of features that WhatsApp offers that texting cannot provide like videocall, stickers, gifs, sharing of photos and videos.
You can refer to the above features which makes WhatsApp so much different from regular texting.
Does Whatsapp replace SMS?
Whatsapp can never replace SMS because sending an SMS is very easy in comparison to downloading WhatsApp and then making an account. Whatsapp may have replaced text in the young generation.
